PFA anti-corrosion heaters are not a single product form. According to different application scenarios, installation methods and power requirements, they can be designed into various structural forms. Choosing the right structure type according to the actual tank shape, heating medium and installation conditions can not only improve the heating effect, but also extend the service life of the heater.
Spiral coil type is the most common structural form of PFA heaters. The heating tube is wound into a spiral shape, which has large heating area in a limited space and high space utilization. Spiral PFA heaters are usually placed vertically in electroplating tanks, chemical reaction tanks and other containers, suitable for medium and large tank bodies with medium and high power. The spiral structure facilitates the natural convection of liquid, and the heating uniformity is good. According to the number of spiral circles and tube diameter, products with different power specifications can be designed to meet the heating needs of different tank volumes.
L-shaped and U-shaped PFA heaters are mostly used for small tank bodies or occasions with special installation requirements. L-shaped products have a horizontal heating section and a vertical outlet section, which are hung on the tank wall for use, with convenient installation and disassembly; U-shaped products have both ends fixed on the tank wall or flange, suitable for installation on the side of smaller tanks. This type of heater usually has medium and small power, and is mostly used in laboratory small test tanks, small electroplating tanks and other scenarios.
Flange-mounted PFA heaters are suitable for closed pressure vessels and occasions requiring fixed installation. The heating part extends into the container, and the flange end is connected and fixed with the container flange, which has good sealing performance and can withstand a certain pressure. Flange-type PFA heaters are mostly used in closed reaction kettles, pipeline heating systems and other industrial equipment, with higher safety and stability. The power and length can be flexibly designed according to container parameters.
In addition to conventional electric heating tubes, there are also PFA coil heat exchangers for large-scale systems. This type of product uses PFA tubes to wind into a coil group, and hot water or steam is passed through the tube to indirectly heat the corrosive medium outside the tube. It is suitable for large-scale heating systems with high power and large flow, and is widely used in chemical, surface treatment and other industries. Although the heat exchange efficiency is slightly lower than that of direct electric heating, it has higher safety and longer service life.
When selecting the structure type, several factors need to be considered comprehensively. First, the shape and size of the tank body - the spiral type is preferred for large deep tanks, and the L-shaped/U-shaped is more suitable for small shallow tanks. Second, the power requirement - high-power applications usually choose multi-circle spiral type, and small-power applications can choose L-shaped. Third, installation conditions - fixed closed containers choose flange type, and open tanks that need frequent disassembly choose hanging L-shaped. Fourth, the nature of the medium - for strong corrosive and high-purity requirements, products with thickened coating and integral molding should be selected.
Table 1 Common Structural Types of PFA Heaters and Application Scenarios
表格
| Structure Type | Structural Characteristic | Power Range | Typical Application Scenario |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spiral Coil Type | Multi-turn vertical spiral, large heating area | 1kW – 30kW+ | Medium and large electroplating tanks, chemical tanks |
| L-shaped Hanging Type | Right angle structure, hung on tank wall | 0.5kW – 5kW | Small tanks, laboratory test tanks |
| U-shaped Fixed Type | Both ends fixed, horizontal installation | 1kW – 10kW | Side-mounted small and medium tanks |
| Flange-mounted Type | Flange connection, sealed installation | 2kW – 20kW | Closed reaction kettles, pressure vessels |
| Coil Heat Exchanger | Multi-tube coil, indirect heating | Customized according to demand | Large heating systems, high-power occasions |
Reasonable selection of structural forms according to working conditions can make PFA anti-corrosion heaters achieve the best use effect and economic benefits.
