2. Connecting bolt & nut selection and insulation requirements

Class A: Full titanium bolts (best anti-corrosion matching)

Suitable for full titanium flange assembly; all contact parts are titanium, no potential difference. No additional insulation sleeves required, ideal for high-corrosion alternating acid-base CIP environment.

Class B: 316L stainless steel bolts (widely used economical option)

Mandatory insulation measures: Install complete PTFE insulating sleeves on bolt rods, and PTFE gaskets between bolt head and titanium flange surface. Completely isolate stainless steel from titanium metal to cut off conductive galvanic loop. Operation note: Replace PTFE insulation sleeves every 12 months during overhaul to prevent aging cracking and metal contact.

Forbidden scheme: Galvanized carbon steel bolts without full PTFE isolation

Zinc coating dissolves rapidly under galvanic corrosion, a large amount of zinc hydroxide sediment adheres to titanium tube wall and destroys passive film.

3. Fixed support & bracket material grading selection

1) Pure titanium support (premium scheme)

Integrated titanium stamping bracket, arc wide-surface contact with tube body. Consistent potential with heating tube, no galvanic corrosion; smooth surface without sharp edges, will not scratch TiO₂ passive film. Suitable for high-standard sterile fermentation equipment.

2) Stainless steel core + full PTFE cladding support (general industrial scheme)

Steel provides structural strength, outer thick PTFE layer isolates medium and titanium tube. Low cost, good insulation and corrosion resistance. Control point: Ensure PTFE cladding has no cracks or peeling; once the inner steel is exposed, replace the support immediately.

3) Solid PTFE integral support (light load small tank scheme)

All PTFE forming support, completely inert and insulating. Limitation: Poor mechanical rigidity, not applicable for large-diameter long titanium heating tubes under liquid flow impact.
